Castle Fine Art Gallery - The Art of Art

I love Art Gallery's as much as I love Bookshops and Shoe Departments; all are like entering another dimension ( yes, even Shoe Departments!)

I had been feeling a little low given my current employment situation ( spasmodic at best!)
Whilst window shopping in St David's , I entered Castle Fine Art Gallery -I am so glad I did!

The reception/sales desk is set to the back of the shop giving you room to peruse the artwork and sculptures on display without the constant pressure of feeling you need to buy something but also the access to someone should you require it. The staff are approachable and happy to answer any queries you may have .

The Gallery currently houses a selection of  artwork by Ronnie Wood and Bob Dylan - if that's not a reason to visit I don't know what is! It  amazes me to realise that these talented guys aren't just talented musically!
Abandoned Motel, Under The Bridge, Donut Shop and East LA, Side Street : Bob Dylan

I had become quite emotional on entering the Gallery and had put it down to my mood at that moment plus age ....but on researching the history of Castle Galleries I came upon this statement:
'' Castle Galleries is part of the Halcyon Group, one of the largest and most prestigious art groups in the world. Halcyon Gallery began in Birmingham in the mid 1980s, specialising in both original and signed limited edition art. Originally operating from a single site in the Palasades, Birmingham, the gallery operation rapidly expanded into a new venture at the ICC in Birmingham before moving into the London market.''................and it all made sense - for the Halcyon Gallery in the Palasades is where I first fell in love with Douglas Hofmann
You think I'm nuts huh? I don't care - I'm a Déjà vu sort of woman .....and it makes me happy !!!

To commemorate Stan Lee's 95th Birthday there is a display of Marvel Superheroes 95 featuring hand signed covers from Marvels back covers

The Gallery currently has a Winter Sale on ........I wish...........
